Today we announce the launch of Gasp and the closing of the Mangata project in its current form. We want to express our deepest gratitude for the support provided through the years by the Mangatarians, Polkadot community, and broad ecosystem.
The vision behind Mangata remains, becoming the connecting node across all blockchains. However, we’ve decided to take a new route. Gasp launches as a cross-rollup protocol, built natively on Ethereum, allowing easy swaps across Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and most major rollups.
Gasp garners security from Ethereum for cross-chain transaction finality through EigenLayer, therefore launching as one of the first AVSs in the growing shared security ecosystem. As the protocol develops, Gasp will natively connect liquidity to all blockchains.
